Progressive French – level A1

Target audience : This program is designed for individuals who want to delve into learning French and acquire the basics. It’s perfect for people who live in a french speaking country or who wish to relocate. 

Prerequisite : No prerequisite. The placement test is not required if you have never taken any French classes before. 

Objectives : 

• Understand and use familiar everyday expressions.
• Introduce yourself and others.
• Ask and answer simple questions about personal topics (origin, hobbies, work).
• Engage in simple dialogues.
• Understand and respond to clear instructions.
• Introduce yourself

Topics Covered:

1. Introducing Yourself: Verbs “to be/have/call oneself,” nationality, numbers.
2. Expressing Preferences and Habits: Verbs “to like/to do,” simple negation.
3. Planning an Outing or Weekend: Near future tense, conjugation of “to go.”
4. Getting Around Town: Asking for directions, prepositions of place.
5. Ordering at a Restaurant or Bakery: Formulating questions, verbs “to want/to be able to.”
6. Shopping: Quantities, demonstrative pronouns.
